#Question
1.I'm looking at the list of available players during the NFL playoffs, but players who were already eliminated from the playoffs do not appear. How can I see them?

Answer: You will need to go to the Setup > Reports & Other Settings to turn on the setting:
"Display Non-Playoff Players On Fantasy Free Agent Lists During NFL Playoffs (Week 18 through Week 21)?"
That will allow you to see the players that have already been eliminated from the NFL playoffs.

2.How do I set up an NFL playoff league (or, How do I keep playing during the NFL playoffs)?

Answer: You can set your regular season league to continue to week 21 by going to your For Commissioner Setup > General Scoring Setup and adjust the weeks that your season calculates.

The better option, if you do not want your Regular season altered in any way, is to set up a separate playoff league by going to the My Leagues > Setup up an NFL Playoff League based on This League. The playoff leagues are completely free and you can transfer all of your current league information over to them without disrupting your regular season play. Use this option if you wish to have your Playoff League based on this regular season league as the teams and scoring will transfer.

If you had an NFL Playoff League last year then you can go to last year's NFL Playoff League home page and log in as commissioner. Once logged in the message will appear on the home page for you to upgrade to the new year. Use this option if you used an NFL Playoff league last season and wish to have all the settings the same.

New to MFL, or wanting a fresh start, simply go to the MyFantasyLeague.com home page and click on the Link for NFL Playoffs to create one now.

Note that these will be available at kickoff of week 15 through the end of the NFL playoffs, so look for the announcement in your MFL Site News! We do not offer NFL playoff leagues at other times during the year.

3.How can I upgrade my NFL Playoff League from last year to this year?

Answer: When we start offering NFL playoff leagues in mid-December, you must first go to your NFL Playoff League from last year and log in as commissioner of the league. You can go to the MFL Dashboard to access your league as it will be listed on your Dashboard from last season. Once logged in you can click the link on the home page to "Upgrade this League to the new season". Alternately, you can access the My Leagues option on your menu bar and choose to "Upgrade this NFL Playoff League to a 2018 NFL Playoff League".

This option will be available at kickoff of week 15 so look for the announcement in your MFL Site News then!

To locate your 2017 league go to your MFL Dashboard and select the league under your list of previous seasons. If you unlinked from the previous year, go to the MyfantasyLeague.com home page at http://www.MyFantasyLeague.com where you can search based on your league name or your 5-digit league ID.

4.How do I Hide Lineups and Rosters for my League?

Answer: To Hide the Rosters for your league you will need to go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Reports & Other Settings and choose to turn off the option to "Display Roster Report". Note that Hiding the Rosters will also hide the Transaction Report for your league.

As for the Lineups, you will need to go to For Commissioner > Setup > Starting Lineup Setup and enable the one of the following settings:
Hide Starting Lineups from all owners until:

  • Never Hide Starters
  • Kickoff of the first game of the week
  • Kickoff of the first Sunday game of the week
  • Kickoff of the last game of the week

Enabling these options will also prevent any emails from being sent to owners regarding Waiver moves or lineup submissions. It will however still send the confirmation Lineup email to the owner of the franchise if enabled on the For Owners > Franchise Setup - Contact Info.

5.How do I set my league up to be a Contest League for the NFL Playoffs?

Answer: A tournament/contest style league does not use rosters (and therefore, does not use waivers or trades). Instead, each team chooses a lineup each week that's independent of every other team (therefore all teams might start the same player in a given week).

Once you have created a NFL Playoff League for weeks 18-21 you can set that league up to be a contest league.

Enable this via the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup by choosing "Rosters are not used: A player can only be on a franchise's starting lineup XX times per season." and specify a number between 1-4 for XX (depending on how many times you want each team to be able to start a given player during the the NFL Playoffs).

Once defined, owners will simply use the For Owners > Submit Lineup screen to choose starters each week.

NOTE: This type of league has a "NEW" lineup each week and no rosters. So the lineups do not copy over each week and each owner will choose from the entire NFL Player pool to pick their new lineup each week of the playoffs. If you are wishing to have the owners set the lineups week 18 and then keep these lineups for the remainder of playoffs you will instead use a "Set 'em" league.

6.How do we create a H2H schedule for our playoff League?

Answer: The default for a playoff league is Total Points. Therefore, you will need to manually schedule Head-to-head matchup games if you want them defined for the playoffs. These can be done in the Setup > Fantasy Schedule > Weekly Schedule Setup. Simply use the drop down boxes to match up your teams for the playoff weeks.

7.How do I Keep Rosters with a New Playoff League?

Answer: Go to your For Commissioner > Setup > Transfer Rosters and transfer your regular season roster to your new Playoff League. You may choose to either transfer all players by checking the first box marked “Load All Players Listed Below” or individually for each franchise.

Note that this only applies to leagues that have upgraded from their regular season. If you upgrade last years NFL Playoff league to the new season then this would transfer the previous seasons rosters, not rosters from your regular season.

8.How can I see regular season player scores for my NFL Playoffs league?

Answer: By default, NFL playoffs leagues run from weeks 18 through week 21, which are the weeks that the NFL playoffs run.

If you'd like to see regular season player scores for your NFL playoffs league, please complete the following steps:

1 ) From the Setup > General Scoring Setup page, change the start week for your league to week 1.

2 ) Go to the Top Performers Report - there, you'll see a message regarding missing top performers data - read that message, and click on the link on that page to generate top performers data for weeks 1 through 17.

3 ) Wait up to 5 minutes, and then your "Top Performers" report will be populated accordingly.

9.How do I Replace or Remove or Add a Franchise for a Playoff League?

Answer: To Replace A Franchise

If you simply want to change the ownership of a franchise in your league, just go to the Replace/Reset Franchises page to completely replace an old franchise in your league with a new franchise.

To Delete a Franchise:

If you have created an entirely separate Playoff League (not just extended your regular season to 21 weeks) then you can go to For Commissioner > Setup > Delete a Franchise to remove the franchises from your league. You should only delete a franchise if you truly want to reduce the overall number of franchises in your league by one.

To Add a Franchise:

You should only add a franchise if you truly want to increase the overall number of franchises in your league by one.
To add additional franchises to your separate Playoff League go to the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup and increase the number of franchises.
Then you will need to go to the For Owners > Franchise Setup and enter the new owners names and email address.
Finally, you will need to go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Invite Franchise Owners and check the boxes for these owners to have the system send them the link to the site along with their password to log in.

10.How do owners load their players in a "Set 'em" league?

Answer: For a Set 'em league you will want to first make sure your Starting Lineup Parameters are defined on the For Commissioner > Setup > Starting Lineup Setup. Then be sure your Total Starters is equal to the Roster Size.

Owners will then use the For Owners >Add/Drop Players to add players to their teams.
The system will then automatically start the roster players each week for teams.

To Hide the Rosters for your league you will need to go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Reports & Other Settings and choose to turn off the option to "Display Roster Report". Note that Hiding the Rosters will also hide the Transaction Report for your league.

Enabling this options will also prevent any emails from being sent to owners regarding Waiver moves. No Add/drops will be made during the weeks of play. You will only add the player at the start of the season and then keep these rosters for the remainder of the playoffs. For full details on how to set this up see the Help Center - Commissioner Tutorials: league_id&FAQ=610> How do I set up my NFL Fantasy Playoff League?

12.Do we have to set up our playoff league like our season league or can we be a total points league for the playoffs without effecting my regular season?

Answer: As long as you set up a Playoff League (separate from using your Regular Season league) then you can change your league to a Total Points League in the Setup > General League Setup.

13.We are setting up a playoff league with the same rules, but want different rosters. Can we set up a Live Draft for the Playoff League?

Answer: Yes, assuming that you hold the live draft after week 17 has completed you can run a draft just like a regular season live draft.
Please note however that the ADP automatic draft option is not designed for post-season play and therefore will not currently function while conducting a post-season draft.

Answer: Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Appearance Setup > Reports & Other Settings and check the option to Display Non-Playoff Players On Fantasy Free Agent Lists During NFL Playoffs (Week 18 through Week 21)? No.

15.Our playoffs are a "free for all" where no owner has a roster, but all owners can submit any player from any team. How do we set this up?

Answer: Once you have created a Playoff League (separate from your Regular Season League) you will go to Setup > General League Setup and choose the option Rosters are not used - instead, this league is a contest-type league, whereby an owner can start any NFL player XX times per season.

NOTE: With a Contest League, each week your owners will submit a new lineup based on the NFL Player pool. The lineups will not copy over for the duration of the playoffs as that option only applies to Rostered Leagues.

16.Games for week 18 have kicked off, but players are not appearing for this weekend to be submitted. How do I display these players?

Answer: Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Appearance Setup > Reports & Other Settings and check the option to Display Non-Playoff Players On Fantasy Free Agent Lists During NFL Playoffs (Week 18 through Week 21)? Yes.

This will display the NFL Player pool to adjust your rosters/lineups. You can then re-enable this setting if you wish to only view the Playoff Players on the reports.
