#Question
1.How do I Transfer Rosters after I upgraded my League?

Answer:
  1. Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Transfer 2018 Rosters to 2019.
  2. Click the "Check all Players Listed Below" to transfer all teams rosters or
  3. Click on the individual player under each franchise to transfer only specific players for each team.
  4. Be sure to press the "Transfer Rosters" button when complete.
Note this step needs to be done first for Dynasty/Keepers leagues in order to select your Keepers.

If you are a Dynasty League you will be all set after completing this step. If you are a Keeper League, be sure to review the Help > league_id&FAQ=624> How do I setup a Keeper/Dynasty League?

2.The "Drafted" column on the rosters report does not match the actual round/pick that each player was drafted this year - why?

Answer: If you take the time to edit the drafted column on the Rosters report, the system assumes that data is important to you, and automatically carries over the prior year edits to the following year. But, if you later decide you don't want to have this information from last year displayed on this year's rosters report, you can do the following:

Go to the Player Acquired Info Setup page, and check the box
Reset Automatic Player Acquired Info On: "When League is upgraded to a new season ".

This will clear out all of last year's drafted data, and force the system to display the drafted data from this year's actual draft results.

3.Why is the Drafted Column missing on my Roster Report?

Answer: The Player Drafted On Rosters Report has been modified to now keep track of all ways that a player is acquired and to provide more ways to easily manage this information. in order to populate this information go to the Setup > Player Acquired Info Setuppage and Save the page.

It will then appear on the Rosters Report as "Acquired". This information will also be tracked on the players individual player profile page.

The info will be transferred from the old format to the new format. However, only the manually entered values and the automatic drafts and auctions info will be transferred. New transactional information will be kept only from the point that this migration first occurs.

4.Why are some common NFL players missing from my list of available players to choose from?

Answer: The most common reasons for this are:

1. Does your league waiver rules indicate that a player should be "locked" when he is dropped from a roster for a period of time? If so, check the Reports > Players >Locked Players report, and you'll most likely see the players listed there, and if you're logged on as the league commissioner at the time, you'll be able to "unlock" those players.

2. If the player is an NFL free agent, check the "Display NFL Free Agents" setting on the For Commissioners > Setup > Reports & Other Settings page - the default for that option is "No", preventing owners from picking up NFL free agents, but you can turn that to "Yes" if you'd like to allow owners in your league to pick up NFL free agents.

3. The player is currently on a Roster. You can view the Reports > Franchise >Rosters report or use the Reports > Players >Player Search to enter the name of the player in question and view his current status.

5.How does the new "Acquired" column work on the Rosters Report?

Answer:

NOTE: The Player Drafted On Rosters Report has been modified to now keep track of all ways that a player is acquired and to provide more ways to easily manage this information. The first time you submit the Setup > Player Acquired Info Setup page the info will be transferred from the old format to the new format. However, only the manually entered values and the automatic drafts and auctions info will be transferred. New transactional information will be kept only from the point that this migration first occurs.

By default, the system will display the Round/Pick a player was drafted in a Draft Leagues and Auction and winning bid for Auction Leagues on the Reports > Rosters.

To display this column you will need to make sure the option "Show Player Acquired Info On Rosters Report" on the Setup > Player Acquired Setup is enabled.

Keeper/Dynasty League

If you are a Keeper/Dynasty league, when you transfer your rosters the previous years draft pick/auction value will appear in the Acquired Column.  It will also display the (Year) the player is drafted if known, or (K) as that player is kept on the roster next to the original Pick/Auction value.

If your league places keepers “in lieu of” draft picks then you have the option on the Setup > Player Acquired Setup to replace the original Draft Pick with the new replaced draft pick and the (K) status.  This is done by checking the option

Reset Automatic Player Acquired Info On: When player is kept in lieu of a draft pick

If you do not wish to have this information copied each season you can check the option:

Reset Automatic Player Acquired Info: When League is upgraded to a new season

Other Acquired Options

On the Setup > Acquired Player Info Setup screen you can also replace the values when a player is acquired via waivers/FCFS, Trades or when manually loaded by the commissioner.  To enable these check the corresponding box next to the option.

Reset Automatic Player Acquired Info On:

  • When player is drafted – This will display the new seasons Draft Pick and Round when a player is drafted.
  • When player is kept in lieu of a draft pick - When a player is kept in lieu of a draft pick the current seasons draft pick in which the player is kept will override the original draft pick for that player.
  • When player is won at auction – This will display that a player is won via Auction and the amount.
  • When player is acquired via waivers – This will note when a player is added via Waivers to the roster.
  • When player is acquired via FCFS add/drop – This will note when a player is added via FCFS to a roster.
  • When player is acquired via trade – If enabled, when players are traded the previous value will be reset to (Trade) on the roster report.
  • When the commissioner uses the Load Rosters function – When the commissioner uses the Setup > Load Rosters to add a player the status (Load) will be displayed on the roster report.
  • When League is upgraded to a new season – When a league is upgraded to a new season the Acquired column will be reset.

Manually Editing Acquired Players

As always, you can manually edit the acquired players column.  This can be done on the Setup > Edit Player Acquired Info.   This page will display the Player, Original way they were acquired, Date acquired and keeper status.

The commissioner can then enter a value in the “Override” to apply this value to be displayed on the Rosters Report.

The date will be tracked on the Edit Player Acquired page as to when this field was last updated.

To clear the manual overrides go to the Setup > Edit Player Acquired Info and check the box at the bottom of the screen “Clear all manually entered values.”  That will clear all above information.  Otherwise they can be individually cleared as needed.

NOTE: This operation can not be undone!

6.How do I make roster changes to the previous week for a franchise?

Answer: If you made roster changes to a franchise after their lineup deadline it will automatically apply to the upcoming week. To apply the roster change to the previous week you can go to the Setup > Load Rosters.
Here, select the franchise to update. The current roster will load and at the bottom of the load rosters page is "Apply Change To Previous Week . If you don't check this box, the change will apply for week X." Check this option to apply these changes to the previous week.
As commissioner you can then submit the lineup for that owner.

If you need to make a roster change that occurred several weeks prior you would need to use the Setup > Copy Current Rosters To Previous Weeks.
This screen you will select the week where you first wish to copy the rosters back for a franchise. Then check the corresponding franchise.

NOTE: The rosters will be copied to all weeks between the week you select and the last week, inclusive. This action cannot be undone.

7.How do I allow a player to be on two rosters at one time?

Answer: To allow a player to be on more than one roster go to the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup. Here you can define Each player can be on: XX rosters per League.

Most leagues allow a player to be only on one roster per league. Changing this setting to "Conference" or "Division" makes this a "Deluxe" league - please see our purchase page for details on how this affects league cost.

8.How do I Set the Roster Limits for my league?

Answer: The overall Roster limit is defined for your league in the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup. Here you can define the overall number of players on your teams.

Your league then choose to define roster limits on a per position basis, such as no more than 3 QB's or 6 RB's per franchise. Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Roster Position Limits Setup to define the minimum and maximum values per position.

NOTE: Roster minimums are not enforced during the draft, only the maximum player limit will be enforced when drafting players.

13.How do I use the Load/Unload Rosters page?

Answer:

Use this option primarily to define the initial roster for a team.  This is typically used when you've either held your draft offline or you are setting up a dynasty or keeper league for the first time on MyFantasyLeague.com and need to populate all or some of the rosters.  While generally not recommended (other than to correct a preseason mistake), you can also use this screen to remove players from a roster.

Select a Franchise -  The first step in loading rosters is to choose the franchise from the pull-down list of teams you wish to work with.  Once selected, click on the Select button to advance to the Load/Unload Rosters screen.

Select Players to Add -  Choose the player and click on the 'Add To List' button to select player(s) for the chosen franchise.  Only players with positions that are defined in the Starting Lineup Setup screen will be part of this list.

Show Only - Change this pull-down list to filter out the entire list of players to a subset based on position or team.  Only positions that are defined in the Starting Lineup Setup screen will be part of this list.

Find - Type in the first few characters of the player's last name to quickly locate the player from the list.

Current Roster/Players to Add - Select any recently added players in this window and click on the 'Remove From List' button to prevent them from being considered as part of the selected team's initial roster.

Add To List - Once a player has been selected in the "Select Players To Add" window, click on this button to move them to the "Current Roster" window.

Remove From List - Once a player has been selected in the "Current Roster" window, click on this button to move them back to the "Select Players To Add" window.

NOTE: If you cannot locate a Player from the list of available players you can click on the "Hint" to direct you to Search our Player Database .

Free-form Text Box - Alternately use this box to copy & paste (or manually type in) players names from another source.  Only one player name may be entered per line.

NOTE: Salary cap leagues can optionally include a salary amount for each player with the salary number following the player name on the same line.

When finished, you MUST click on the Load Roster button in order to add the player(s) to the franchise.  Repeat this procedure for all necessary franchises.

14.How do I hide (or display) the Rosters Report?

Answer: To Hide the Rosters for your league you will need to go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Reports & Other Settings and choose to turn off the option to "Display Roster Report".

If you are a Set 'em League and hid your rosters prior to week 18 you can go to this screen to turn back on the option to display Rosters.

15.How do I use the Roster Position Limits Setup page?

Answer:

Use this screen to set minimum and maximum per-position limits for each of your league's positions.  Only positions define for use in the Starting Lineups Setup screen will appear.  Leave these values blank if your league does not support or enforce roster position limits.

Total Across All Positions - Entering a value in this field allows a league to define a Roster Minimum for their league.  The maximum field will be filled in based on the selection on the General League Setup screen.

NOTE: While these settings will prevent a franchise owner from exceeding the position limit or dropping below a limit, a commissioner can always bypass a limit for any franchise.  If your league uses IR or Taxi Squad positions then these do NOT apply to the roster limits. If you have too strict of roster limits this may prevent you from activating/deactivating players as you will always be required to be within these defined limits.

NOTE:Roster position limit minimums are not enforced during drafting or pre-season auctions (however, maximums are enforced during these times).

When finished, you MUST click on the Save Roster Position Limits button in order to apply your changes.
